The Slog Bag conceptually began as a cross between a Tote and a Duffle and was then redesigned and refined to meld the form and function of both. A truly simple yet indispensable bag. Conservatively loaded, the Slog Bag holds over 2800 cubic inches and is intentionally overbuilt and reinforced to support irrational weights. This will be your go-to Hauler; capable of carrying anything you can pack. Whether it be hauling sundries from the market, gathering timber for the camp, supplies to the beach, or a jaunt through the city en route to the laundromat, a truly multipurpose utilitarian bag to help you slog thru life with ease and for generations to come.
This bag can be carried by hand, slung over a shoulder, or cross-body. Adjustable Sam Browne Stud and adjustable buckle ensure a perfect fit for all forms of carry. We added two interior pockets to accommodate a laptop and valuables or anything you don't want at the bottom of the bag. Additionally, we’ve included a key clip and large ring to hang for loading/storage, or clip them together as a bag closure. All materials were thoughtfully paired to age in tandem, resulting in a bag that will only improve with age. The leather is from the oldest and most respected vegetable tannery in the States and the twill is undoubtably the finest made at a nearly 100 year old American factory. To boot, the hardware is made of solid brass to ensure a rust free life regardless of use. Finally, the components are carefully constructed in small batches to ensure consistency and quality by an American factory in Portland Oregon. This is the most versatile utilitarian bag we could imagine.
Demensions: 12" x 12" x 20" / Over 2800 Cubic Inches
Leather is perfectly matched to Brass in that it only gets better with age. Preferably keep dry as moisture replaces the oils in the leather over time. Depending on the wear, message a light coat of Neats foot oil only when needed. This will darken the leather initially but will return to normal color over time. Twill is an ideal fabric for bag making. It is strong, durable, and long lasting. Our twill has been treated with a commercial water repellant. If soiled, scrub lightly with mild soap and water, hang dry.
Brass is a soft yet durable metal that wears its age. We prefer it that way and love the patina it earns with use. It requires no care other than a bit of lubricants to any moving parts or springs when necessary.
